Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of 6 weeks of aerobic exercise on changes in serum IL-10 levels and lipid profile in sedentary obese women. Methods: 31 healthy, sedentary obese women (age 42.156.3 years and BMI = 32.45±5.2 kg٫m2) were randomly divided to two groups [(exercise, n = 17) and (control, n=14)]. Aerobic exercise program was consisted of three session aerobic exercise (75 min) for six week. Subjects was performed aerobic exercise training with intensity rang of %55 to %70 of maximum heart rate. 12 hours before and 24 Hours after last session of exercise, blood samples was accumulated. Also analyze variance with repeated measure was used for data analysis (p≤0.05).
Results: The result of this study was showed that 6 weeks of aerobic exercise can significantly increase serum IL-10, HDL. Also BMI, fat percentage, and weight were decreased after aerobic exercise (p<0.05). Whereas
the levels of triglyceride, total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol did not change significantly. Conclusion: The aerobic exercise training can improve Anti inflammatory state and lipid profile in obese women.
